CM Punk’s run in WWE came to a shocking halt after the Royal Rumble in 2014 when he was frustrated with the company, which led to him walking out. Punk’s relationship with WWE is far from the best right now and it appears several top WWE Superstars are against Punk returning to the company after his AEW firing.
During AEW All In Zero Hour, Jack Perry made reference to his controversy with CM Punk when it came to using real glass. This led to CM Punk and Perry having a backstage fight prior to Punk’s match against Samoa Joe at All In London and a lot of drama ensued afterwards.
It was reported that CM Punk and Jack Perry have been suspended following their backstage confrontation This eventually led to Tony Khan firing CM Punk from AEW and he even opened Collision this week by explaining the reason behind Punk’s firing.
According to Sean Ross Sapp on Twitter, several top Superstars in WWE do not want to see CM Punk return to Vince McMahon’s company ever again.
There’s always a chance, but there are a lot of top people on the roster in WWE that don’t want him there.
CM Punk’s AEW firing was also a big topic of conversation at Payback. Regardless, only time will tell whether CM Punk will ever return to a pro wrestling ring again, as it seems highly unlikely now.
