KENTA is one of the most well-known Japanese pro wrestlers in recent memory. His WWE tenure ended up becoming a major failure after a series of injuries. While he is part of NJPW now, it appears KENTA threw shade at CM Punk after his AEW termination.

CM Punk and KENTA know each other very well by now. CM Punk has openly admitted he stole the idea of the GTS finisher from KENTA as far back as 2012. Naturally, KENTA still has a lot of issues with Punk and it is unlikely to end anytime soon.

CM Punk was fired by AEW after Tony Khan deemed it necessary in order to have a healthy work environment, which CM Punk prevented. Khan would address the firing on AEW Collision this week.

KENTA certainly heard the news of CM Punk’s AEW firing and took to Twitter in order to throw shade at the Second City Saint by welcoming back his Go 2 Sleep move.

CM Punk’s AEW firing was also a big topic of conversation at Payback. Regardless, we will have to wait and see whether CM Punk will ever step inside a pro wrestling ring ever again.
