Grayson Waller established himself as one of the must-see stars during his time in NXT. The Australian star has made it clear he is someone fans should take notice of. Now it appears Waller referenced CM Punk’s AEW firing after WWE Payback.
The Australian star became one of the biggest heels in NXT thanks to his excellent character work and in-ring psychology during the matches. Therefore it wasn’t really surprising he was eventually called up to the main roster.
Waller hosted the Grayson Waller Effect with special guest Cody Rhodes, who said he had some big news to announce. That turned out to be Jey Uso returning as member of the RAW brand. That said, he took out Waller with a superkick.
Following the conclusion of WWE Payback, Grayson Waller took to Twitter and reacted to Jey Uso attacking him while throwing shade at CM Punk. Waller was using a can of Pepsi, which is heavily associated with CM Punk as well.
Jey Uso attacking me unprovoked on my own show- fire this man!
CM Punk’s AEW firing was also a big topic of conversation at Payback. Regardless, we will have to wait and see whether CM Punk’s pro wrestling career has ended after this AEW firing.
