CM Punk was fired from AEW, and that was quite a surprise. It also called for a change to AEW All Out’s main event match. Now, Bryan Danielson will take on Ricky Starks in a strap match, but Danielson’ return is going down far sooner than anyone expected.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that Bryan Danielson was backstage at AEW Collision. He was helping out with creative while he was injured, and was also assisting with Collision as well.
Bryan Danielson is backstage at Collision. He hasn’t been around since his injury, but was helping on AEW Collision creative early on.
Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio that Bryan Danielson was always expected for AEW’s WrestleDream event. That being said, his return is still going down weeks sooner than they anticipated.
Bryan Alvarez remarked on the program that Bryan Danielson could tape his arm close to his body. We will have to see if Danielson does anything extra to protect himself from damaging that fractured arm injury.
