WWE has undergone quite a few changes after Triple H took over as the Head of WWE Creative. This included the advent of post-event press conferences after a Premium Live Event. Now it appears WWE is making a major change ahead of Payback.
The Payback Premium Live Event will be taking place tonight in Pittsburgh and fans have been wondering whether WWE would host a post-show press conference like it has been the case this year.
WWE held conferences after both Money In The Bank and SummerSlam, but that won’t be the case for Payback. Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics reported that there won’t be a press conference tonight after Payback.
It was further added that press conferences can be expected after the ‘big 5’ premium live events, including Money In The Bank. as well as international events.
I’m told by WWE there won’t be a press conference tonight after Payback and to expect them mainly for the big 5 (WM, Rumble, SSlam, SSeries, MITB) and international PLEs going forward.
The main event of Payback will feature Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura. We’ll have to wait and see how the event will turn out.
