Xavier Woods took quite a shot to the face from a rolling desk chair during RAW this week. Drew McIntyre “accidentally” threw that chair right at Woods and clocked him in the face. Now we have a bit of an update after Woods announced his injury.

WWE noted the extent of Xavier Woods’ injury on social media as they said, “Xavier Woods suffered a cervical strain after getting hit with a chair thrown by Drew McIntyre. He is considered week-to-week and will miss the upcoming Monday Night RAW.”

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter provided a bit of an update on this story. It was noted that Xavier Woods’ injury was not legit. It’s only for the storyline, so there was no actual whiplash suffered.

“Woods will be off Raw next week due to whiplash, which is storyline based.”

It was noted that Drew McIntyre apologized for heaving that chair at Xavier Woods. In the end, it’s safe to say that Woods has accepted that apology.

Xavier Woods might take a week off to sell this injury, but he’s actually fine. This is great news, because the New Day have not been immune to injuries in recent memory.
