CM Punk and Jack Perry had a little skirmish backstage before AEW All In London kicked off. Punk threatened to quit, but he wrestled that “Real” World Title match in Wembley Stadium anyway. After he won that match, Tony Khan suspended CM Punk and also Jack Perry, something that Punk was informed of through his attorney. More information is coming out about this situation, and it’s not pretty.

Tony Khan was almost a victim of this situation as well, and things were not pretty at all. CM Punk also wanted to fight Miro in the middle of everything, but then that story was finally cleared up.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that a “neutral source who is not a wrestler” told their version of the event. According to this source, CM Punk “sucker punched” Jack Perry during their brawl.

“Another version, and this would be a neutral source who was not a wrestler but was there and witnessed it and his version was that right after Perry came to the back, Punk went nose-to-nose with him aggressively and asked him if he had a problem. That person said Perry said he was just looking to get heat as a heel. Punk shoved him hard, Perry got in his face and in that version Punk sucker punched him and went for a choke. People immediately broke it up and Khan was yelling at Punk to let him go.”

AEW also had their production team and announcer stall for time, because they didn’t know if CM Punk was even going to go out for his match against Samoa Joe. Tony Khan was later asked about the reported heated conversation he had with CM Punk, and refrained to speak further about the investigation or the issue.

AEW also had to nix Jim Ross’ entrance at All In London because of that whole situation. This is obviously an intense controversy in AEW, but Tony Khan hopes to have some more information after their investigation by All Out this Sunday.
