Jack Perry underwent a change in character after turning heel a couple of months ago. He is now in the news after a backstage confrontation with CM Punk and now it appears some believe that Perry would have been beaten up back in the day.
During AEW All In Zero Hour, Jack Perry made reference to his controversy with CM Punk when it came to using real glass. This led to CM Punk and Perry having a backstage scuffle right before Punk’s match at All In London.
It was reported that CM Punk and Jack Perry have been suspended following their backstage confrontation. While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray talked about Jack Perry’s actions and subsequent backstage fight with CM Punk. Bully Ray stated that he believes Perry would have been beaten up for such actions back in the day.
Jungle Boy is an ignorant young boy who doesn’t understand this industry,” Ray said. “He doesn’t know better. He’s a young, brash kid who doesn’t know better. And I’m sure the dirt sheets are gonna have a field day with this one. But he needs to be sat down by a veteran like a Taz, like a J.R., like a Billy Gunn, one of those guys, and made to understand and educate him as to why you don’t say those things on camera for a multitude of reasons.
He doesn’t know any better,” Ray reiterated. “He’s flexing when he shouldn’t be flexing, and flexing for no reason. Back in the day, there was a way to handle young boys like Jack Perry. Some of those ways still apply. And I’m not talking about beating the s*** out of him, but back in the day, that’s what would have happened.”
Tony Khan was also urged to fire Jack Perry after his controversy with CM Punk. We’ll have to wait and see what will become of Jack Perry in the end.
