CM Punk and Jack Perry’s confrontation at AEW All In might go down as one of the worst-timed backstage incidents of all time. Their fight took a lot of shine away from AEW as they packed Wembley Stadium. Also, Jim Ross was affected in an interesting way.

Tony Khan was almost a victim of this situation as well, and things were not pretty at all. CM Punk also wanted to fight Miro in the middle of everything, but then that story was finally cleared up.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Jim Ross was supposed to have a nice entrance in Wembley Stadium. Sadly, that was nixed because of the chaos around CM Punk and Jack Perry’s situation.

Jim Ross noted that he was planned for a major entrance at the show and because of what was going on backstage, which happened right before he was to go out, he was told to just go out to ringside in a low-key manner. They did briefly play his music, got the pop, and he waved to the crowd.

AEW also had their production team and announcer stall for time, because they didn’t know if CM Punk was even going to go out for his match against Samoa Joe. After all, CM Punk threatened to quit over this situation.

Many AEW stars were extremely frustrated with the situation. Some say that the ordeal overshadowed AEW’s success at Wembley Stadium. The Second City Savior has not contacted Tony Khan, but he was informed of his suspension through his attorney.
