Mercedes Mone brought a lot of attention on herself when she showed up at AEW All In London. That being said, she’s still not cleared to compete and the former Sasha Banks was in a walking boot at the event. With AEW booking a big event in October with NJPW ties, her name is coming up in a big way.

AEW is presenting All Out this Sunday, so Tony Khan is doing another round of media events. The AEW president took part in a media conference, and you can check out the complete coverage here.

When Tony Khan discussed the WrestleDream event, he expressed his enthusiasm for the potential participation of well-known NJPW stars, both male and female. Specifically, he highlighted his optimism about Mercedes Mone’s potential involvement, recalling the positive impact she had at All In.

However, Tony Khan clarified that, at the moment, Mone is unable to compete in wrestling due to specific circumstances, as he alluded to her injury. Nonetheless, he emphasized his interest in her and reaffirmed that once she receives clearance, she will be a significant target for inclusion in their future events.

We will have to see what happens with Mercedes Mone in AEW. At this point, her presence in the company is expected to happen sooner or later. Only time will tell how much time she spends in Tony Khan’s company.

Mercedes Mone walked out of WWE in May 2022, and things paid off for her so far. She is still under NJPW contract, and injured, but the book is not closed on her showing up on AEW television again.
