CM Punk and Jack Perry had quite a confrontation backstage at All In London. That scuffle is still taking center stage ahead of the company’s massive accomplishment at Wembley Stadium, and a lot of stories about that short skirmish backstage have come out since then.

We previously reported that Bryan Alvarez stated on Wrestling Observer Live that CM Punk almost had a fight with Miro backstage at All In as well. Punk invited Miro to take things outside, but apparently, the context was lost in Alvarez’s reporting.

This story got some traction, because Miro was tweeting out about CM Punk. He also tweeted out a picture of a UK taxi cab, which was a shot at Punk getting lost in London after he arrived in the city.

Sean Sapp posted a video update behind Fightful’s paywall to clear things up. CM Punk asked Miro if he wanted to take things outside, but it was all a joke.

“The whole Miro and Punk thing, I reached out and Punk’s side said, ‘no.’ With the Miro, I didn’t get word from him directly, but they did have interaction after Punk’s match in the trainer’s room.”

“Miro asked Punk how he was doing, Punk said something like, ‘okay unless you wanna fight me, too.’ As a joke. Then Miro said, as a joke, said ‘Okay!’ Then CM Punk said, ‘then let’s take this outside!’ Then Miro, as a joke, he said, ‘How about we take this … to the ring.’ And that’s how it was explained to me.”

It seems that this story about CM Punk and Miro’s back-and-forth was overblown a bit. We can only report what is said, and it’s nice to have this little issue cleared up.

Just because CM Punk and Miro apparently have no issue with each other doesn’t mean Punk is okay with the entire company. He and Tony Khan had a heated exchange at All In, and Punk even threatened to quit at one point.

Keep checking back with Ringside News as we continue covering this story, and so many more, in the pro wrestling world. There will be a lot more to unpack by the time everything is said and done.

CM Punk might be suspended from AEW, but do you think he’s done with the company now? Sound off in the comments to let us know what you’re thinking!
