Alexander Wolfe signed with WWE in 2015, where he began with the SAnitY faction before being called up to the main roster and placed on SmackDown. Wolfe left the group and moved to NXT UK, where he joined Imperium. He eventually got released by WWE but it appears WWE had scrapped plans for the faction to reunite.
The former WWE superstar was thrown out of the group after losing to Killian Dain on NXT television. Wolfe was one of six wrestlers and two referees let go from NXT due to budget cuts back in 2021.
SAnitY was one of the hottest acts in NXT but their momentum died shortly after making their way to the main roster. While speaking with the Developmentally Speaking podcast, Alexander Wolfe revealed that WWE had plans for the faction to reunite, but it never happened.
“There was actually a plan to re-form SAnitY . The plan later was they would separate me from Imperium, because I would be the weak link. And then in that time also, they would re-form SAnitY with Killian Dain … and Eric Young, and they would win the NXT tag team gold. And in that case, they would go on to feud with Imperium, and I would join again SAnitY . … We would have a feud against Imperium, and then we would go back to U.S. NXT.”
Alexander Wolfe also expressed his interest in returning to WWE, but he is more vigilant about signing a contract. Regardless, fans will always be disappointed by how WWE treated SAnitY until the end.
