Update: Fanatics has issued a statement about why those title belts are no longer available. They claim that it sold out that fast.
Original: WWE is always open for business, and that led them to sign a new contract with the NFL to produce some really nice title belts. Now, fans at NFL games can rock WWE Title belts with their team’s logo on them, but that won’t be the case in Jacksonville.
WWE and NFL have inked a multiyear licensing agreement to produce WWE legacy championship belts inspired by the NFL. This partnership encompasses the creation of championship belts adorned with the official colors and branding of all 32 NFL teams.
This was very interesting, because Tony Khan owns one of those NFL teams. He also owns AEW, and this could create a bit of a conflict.
Ringside News’ account on X posted about these new NFL & WWE Title Belts. We also posted the Jacksonville Jaguars’ version, and we wondered if Tony Khan will buy one. It didn’t take very long until something was done about this.
The listing for the Jacksonville Jaguars WWE Title belt is now gone. Apparently, someone made a call and those belts will not be a part of the new line.
Only time will tell if AEW tries to release their own variant, but this is just another interesting thing that happens when someone owns an NFL team and a pro wrestling company.
