GUNTHER is going strong as IC Champion, and there is no sign of that stopping. He is on pace to break the Honky Tonk Man’s record, and that ungodly winning streak might continue at this point.
WWE Payback is coming up on September 2nd, and fans have a lot to look forward to. That being said, GUNTHER doesn’t know if he has a match on the card at all.
As WWE’s next big event approaches in early September, Gunther provided a rather non-committal response regarding his expectations for the show during a recent conversation with Eat, Sleep, Podcast, Repeat. Although he hasn’t been officially slated to participate in the WWE Payback card, he didn’t outright rule out the possibility of making an appearance.
“We’ll have to wait and see. I’m as informed as you are in that regard. I do know that on Monday, Chad Gable is set to face off against my best man, Ludwig Kaiser. That promises to be quite intriguing, and we’ll take it from there.”
GUNTHER’s match for the IC Title could go down at Payback. After all, WWE still has a few things that they need to add to the card. Of course, WWE isn’t producing cards loaded with a dozen matches anymore, so we’ll have to see what makes the show.
