The Rock is still doing his thing, but it might be in secret sometimes. Whether he’s putting out a new project, or he’s getting called out by a WWE Superstar, Dwayne Johnson is always an interesting name, and things need to be in order for him, especially in WWE.

Sadly, The Rock hasn’t been around in WWE for a while. His last match was at WrestleMania 32, where he had a six-second one-move match against Erick Rowan. That status hasn’t changed since, as he told WWE that he couldn’t get physically ready to wrestle a match against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39.

During a recent conversation with Sam Roberts, Brian Myers discussed how he and Joe Henning were brought in as “secret agent crash test dummies” for The Rock. This was arranged in secret, as Triple H wanted them to be his training guys.

“I was on the train to go on a date with now-wife and Johnny Ace was calling me and I’m like, ‘Oh no, this can’t be good’ because I’m like jabronie Curt Hawkins doing nothing.”

“He’s like, ‘Hey, hold on, they’re patching in Joe Henning’ and I’m going, ‘What on earth could be going on now’ and then he explained to us that Hunter decided that we would be the best candidates to be his training guys.”

“It was pretty crazy, we were like his Secret agent crash test dummies. The travel agent would just call you at the drop of the hat and be like, ‘Dwayne wants to train tomorrow, he’s in New Orleans, here’s a 7AM there and a 7PM home.’ You’d just go and there’d be a ring set up in a warehouse.”

The Rock is very active on social media, so he gives fans enough transparency, but he still has a lot of things going on behind the scenes. You never know if a WWE return will happen again for The Great One, but it doesn’t seem likely right now.

As Ringside News exclusively reported, The Rock’s name is not a part of any current creative talks in WWE. The SAG-AFTRA openeded the door for John Cena to make a return for a few paychecks, but The Rock was advised against making a WWE return.

Even if The Rock never wrestles again, he still left a ton of memories in the ring. Some of those stories might still be left to told.
