Rey Mysterio Calls Austin Theory ‘The Psycho Boyfriend Who Got Dumped’ After Title Loss

Rey Mysterio is a true veteran in the world of professional wrestling, and his influence in the industry is undeniable. He has done a lot for the business and won numerous titles over the years. He also had scathing words for Austin Theory after WWE Smackdown this week.

WWE held a tribute show for Bray Wyatt on this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown. It also featured Rey Mysterio paying homage to Bray Wyatt during his match against Grayson Waller.

During the bout, Austin Theory tried to interfere but Santos Escobar came out and took out Theory. Rey Mysterio would end up winning the match.

While speaking on SmackDown LowDown, Rey Mysterio talked about Austin Theory’s behavior on the show. He called Theory the psycho boyfriend who got dumped.

“Austin Theory is the psycho boyfriend who got dumped by the United States title. You know, this United States title is now with a new owner. It’s with me and the LWO. So he can’t let go.”

Rey Mysterio is set to defend the United States Championship against Theory at the WWE Payback Premium Live Event on September 2nd. We will have to wait and see how the match will turn out.
