AEW had a historic night in Wembley Stadium for All In London. The Stadium Stampede match returned, just after they released that as a playable match via an updated patch for AEW Fight Forever. It seems that they knew that Fenix couldn’t make it, even though they booked him for the match.

During AEW All In, the Stadium Stampede match shocked and entertained fans with violence in Wembley Stadum. That being said, Fenix couldn’t make the trip. They had him booked for that match, but then AEW ran an injury angle to write him out of things.
According to Sean Sapp behind Fightful’s paywall, AEW knew that Rey Fenix wouldn’t be able to make All In London. It was always the plan for things to work out this way, either.
“The Stadium Stampede match was booked knowing that Rey Fenix couldn’t make the trip over. There was never a consideration given to a replacement, and it was booked as a 5 on 5 match.”
There is no heat on Fenix over this situation, but that isn’t the case for AR Fox. We previously reported that there is some heat on him for not being able to make the event.
We will keep our eyes open for more updates, because you never know what can happen in the pro wrestling world. It could be quite a historic event by the time everything is said and done.
