Jungle Boy has improved leaps and bounds as an in-ring competitor since his debut in AEW back in 2019. Throughout his career, Jack Perry was seen as the quintessential babyface and nothing more. While he is a heel now, Perry did manage to get into trouble for cutting a profane promo while he was a babyface.
After years of being a babyface, Jack Perry turned heel on Hook at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door and since then, he has drastically changed his appearance and character in general.
Prior to this, Jack Perry was involved in a huge feud with Christian Cage. During a promo battle, Jack Perry told Cage that he was “the biggest p**** I have ever met in my entire life.”
While speaking on the latest “Hey! (EW), Jack Perry talked about cutting that profane promo. Perry revealed that he got in trouble backstage for that line and AEW further told him to never do such a thing again, lest he face the consequences.
Literally that line exposed all the p*ssies back here, because I got in so much trouble about that word,” Perry admitted while still throwing shade. “They’re emailing me saying, ‘Please don’t ever say that again.’
I made a shirt with that word on it, ‘Never wear this again or else we’re going to do this and this.”
Jack Perry is set to defend his FTW Championship against Hook at AEW All In Zero Hour. We will have ot wait and see whether Perry will be able to retain the title against his former friend.
