Zelina Vega Getting WWE Women’s Championship Match On SmackDown

WWE is gearing up for a big SmackDown this week as the company continues picking up their pace toward Payback in September. Now, we know that Zelina Vega will compete on the show.

WWE announced that Zelina Vega will get a WWE Women’s Title match on SmackDown this week. That match kind of came out of the blue, but IYO Sky is a fighting champion, and she will defend her gold this week.

As Ringside News exclusively reported, WWE doesn’t have any plans for a real singles program for Zelina Vega. That doesn’t mean she won’t get television time, and her partnership with the LWO will certainly continue.

It appears that Zelina Vega will get a golden opportunity this week on SmackDown. Only time will tell how it all pans out for her. Keep checking back with Ringside News for more on this story.
