AEW has decided to sign up a few stars on their roster. The Elite got new deals, but they are not alone. At this point, it seems that Tony Khan is going all out when it comes to securing stars to deals.
Darby Allin made it clear that he is not leaving AEW. He might just retire with Tony Khan’s company. He is not the only star who is sticking around.
The Boys inked new deals as well, and it seems that QT Marshall might be joining them. Sean Sapp reported behind Fightful’s paywall that QT Marshall is in talks with AEW about inking a new deal.
The AEW mainstay has found a lot of success recently in AAA, but we’ve learned more about his current deal with All Elite Wrestling. Fightful sources confirmed that Marshall had been in negotiations with AEW recently, and that they’ve actively been working on his contract. Specifically, we’ve been told that a short extension has been discussed and is likely, but hasn’t been signed as of yet.
It was reported that, “in addition to wrestling and appearing on QTV, Marshall is the Vice President of Show and Creative Coordination for All Elite Wrestling. He also runs the Nightmare Factory with Cody Rhodes, which has produced countless talent for AEW, and was very beneficial for AEW in many ways early in the pandemic.”
QT Marshall is a valuable asset for AEW, and Tony Khan might not want to lose him. That being said, odds are TK will have to pay him a bit more this time around to secure him to a longer stay.
What’s your take on QT Marshall signing a new AEW deal? Should AEW do what they can to keep him around? Sound off in the comments to let us know!
