Pro Wrestling World Reacts To Terry Funk’s Passing

Terry Funk passed away at 79-years-old. His passing hit the pro wrestling community in a huge way, because he was a huge inspiration and influence on many people.

Ric Flair posted about Terry Funk’s passing. He said that he never met a harder worker in the ring. This was an amazing tribute, but The Nature Boy’s homage was not the only one.

Many more wrestlers and people from the pro wrestling community spoke out to mention how much of an influence Terry Funk was for them. Sadly, he passed away just after his 79th birthday.

Of course, Mick Foley broke this sad news as he said, “If you get the chance, look up a Terry Funk match or a Terry Funk promo, and give thanks that this incredible man gave so much, for so long, to so many. There will never be another like him. May God bless Terry, his friends, family and all who loved him. RIP my dear friend – it was an honor to know you. #RIPTerryFunk”

Known for his amazing work in the ring, and his violence to boot, Terry Funk never stopped giving himself to fans. He also retired several times, taking back so many of those retirements in the process.

We will have to see how AEW and WWE pay tribute to Terry Funk. Those are undoubtably coming from both companies.

Will Ospreay also tweeted out to say “RIP Terry Funk.” Dustin Rhodes also tweeted out a tribute to the legend we all just lost.

Just heard that Terry Funk is gone. Truly heartbroken over this. He has known me since I was a child. He was an incredible mentor and friend. Love him so much and sad to see him go. I know he is no longer in pain and has probably rekindled his war with Pops in heaven. Rest easy
