Raquel Rodriguez Makes Surprise Return To NXT During Heatwave Special

WWE is giving a lot more focus to NXT, as Triple H and Shawn Micahels are able to let those rosters flow back and forth a bit better. The company also really wants to make sure that NXT gets a lot more viewership as television talks start up soon. This week’s show saw a special appearance nobody expected.

Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio made their way to NXT, where they got themselves in a match at NXT Heatwave against Dragon Lee and Lyra Valkyria. Then Rhea Ripley got a rude awakening.

Raquel Rodriguez was just medically cleared via the storyline, and she is getting her match at Payback against Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship. This was a big announcement that capped off a day that started with news of her and Braun Strowman’s apparent breakup.

This week on NXT, Raquel Rodriguez made a surprise return to NXT, so she could take out Rhea Ripley. Raquel and Rhea brawled as they plugged their match at WWE Payback.
