WWE Hall of Famer Edge has been an integral part of the pro wrestling industry for well over two decades and has won numerous titles during his time in WWE. He also competed in what might have been his last match during Smackdown last week and rumors suggest he might go to AEW. Now it appears Booker T also doesn’t rule out Edge debuting in AEW.
Edge previously stated that his WWE contract will be over after last week’s Smackdown ahead of his match with Sheamus. He even revealed when his contract will be expiring.
Ringside News exclusively reported that there is an internal belief within WWE that Edge is going to AEW. After all, he has not signed a new contract with WWE. This has led to a lot of discussion among fans.
While speaking on his Hall Of Fame podcast, Booker T addressed Edge possibly making his way to AEW. The WWE Hall Of Famer made it clear he doesn’t rule out Edge going to AEW for the right money.
“I don’t think Edge is going to AEW but if Tony Khan big check to do nothing. Me personally, I think Edge’s bump card, I think thats why he had his last match. His bump card is like, I think he’s sick and tired of taking bumps. I know who it feels to be in that zone taking bumps. Edge is a guy getting up there in age and I think he wants to enjoy the fruits of the labor. But a check, like a couple million to ask him to do nothing. Hey, you never know.”
Those in AEW also believe that Edge is signing with Tony Khan. It remains to be seen whether the Rated R Superstar will make his way to AEW, as that would certainly send shockwaves across the pro wrestling world.
