Sting was already a WWE Hall of Famer when he entered the door of Tony Khan’s company. Truth be told, fans didn’t even realize that Sting’s contract even expired until he was pulled from an action figure line. That kind of spoiled a massive surprise that Tony Khan on his hands during the pandemic.

Tony Khan is obviously a big fan of Sting. He considers the AEW period of Sting’s career to be the greatest period of time he’s ever wrestled. That being said, he’s not rushing the Stinger to retire.

During a media call to promote All In London, Tony Khan was asked about Sting’s retirement. He stated that he wants Sting to stay around as long as he feels as if he can wrestle. Then he went on to praise Sting and Darby Allin’s partnership, as it’s no secret those two have TK’s favor.

It seems that as long as Sting wants to stick around and wrestle for AEW, he will keep wrestling. AEW will let him retire on his terms, and Tony Khan is not going to pull the plug on the WWE Hall of Famer’s career at all.

Some thought that AEW All In in Wembley Stadium might be Sting’s last match. He will team with Darby Allin against Swerve Strickland and AR Fox. That should be quite a match, but it won’t be Sting’s last at all.
