WWE actually came close to bringing Velveteen Dream back, but that obviously didn’t happen. The former NXT North American Champion has pulled a few stunts since disappearing from the radar to gain attention, and his cryptic posts are not stopping.
Velveteen Dream had a return to social media recently with a strange post. Some thought that it might have been a tease of a return, but it was certainly venting and out of the ordinary behavior.
Velveteen Dream expressed his view that the “internet can be a negative place,” noting the increased efforts of haters. Nevertheless, he remains steadfast in his apparent confidence, no matter how far he’s fallen.
Dream posted to his Instagram story once again. He threw a photo of himself in the NXT ring up, and that was followed by a video of someone saying that “you know who I am.” I seems that he is returning, but we don’t know where his comeback will take place. He said “coming soon” in the caption of the video.
Velveteen Dream had a ton of potential, but issues outside the ring got in the way of things. He was arrested for cocaine possession, and he’s still dealing with those charges. That doesn’t even include the allegation about him sending an explicit photo to minors, and also calling them. You can click here for that audio.
Velveteen Dream’s name brought a lot of controversy when he was around the company. He couldn’t even appear on television without #FireVelveteenDream trending on social media. Now, Dream is taking another shot at social media.
Only time will tell what Velveteen Dream does next in his career. Obviously, at 28-years-old, he still has plenty of time to turn things around and have a great career in pro wrestling. Hopefully, that is a real possibility, because he can certainly tell a story.
