AEW has a few stars on the shelf thanks to injury, but it appears that Santana’s time on the injured list is coming to an end. Now, Tony Khan just needs to figure out how to bring him back to television.

Santana endured a torn ACL during the 2022 Blood & Guts match, leading to an absence from in-ring competition that has persisted since. After an extended hiatus from social media, Santana has recently made a comeback, sharing vignettes. Nevertheless, despite these updates, Santana has not yet marked their return to the wrestling ring.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that Santana is 100% ready for his return. That ACL injury is healed up at this point, and he is waiting for his return to AEW.

After a long social media absence, Santana recently returned and posted vignettes, but has yet to return to the ring. We confirmed that Santana is ready for an in ring return.

Santana has a lot to offer AEW, and the company could put him into a good program. If anything, his return to the ring is certain to get a good response from fans who miss him.

Only time will tell what happens when his former union with Ortiz. Things were not okay between the two prior to his injury, and it appears that they are not going to mend things any time soon.
