LA Knight has everyone’s attention at this point, and that momentum is not slowing down in the slightest. In the process, some have also called him out for recycling proven gimmicks from the past, namely from The Rock and Stone Cold. He has heard it all before, and LA Knight has his own response.
Kevin Nash once doubled down on his comments before. He questioned why LA Knight didn’t get over in any company he went to before WWE, and he called him out for being a copycat of The Rock and Stone Cold. Kevin Nash previously said that he hasn’t spoken to Triple H about WWE creative, let alone LA Knight. That being said, he didn’t know who Knight even was.
While speaking to Inside The Ropes, LA Knight was asked about the idea that he has lifted things from other stars. He was quite honest in responding that he is influenced and inspired by many people, even some outside the pro wrestling world, so that all combines itself to create who he is.
“I’m influenced by them, I’m influenced by Jake ‘The Snake’ … I’m influenced by music, I’m influenced by actors, so at the end of the day, yeah, all that stuff’s in there. At the end of the day, it’s a conglomeration, you put that all together you got yourself LA Knight.”
WWE fans have certainly gravitated toward LA Knight, and for many reasons. Not only are they elated to yell “YEAH” along with him, but many are also just incredibly happy to see Eli Drake finally get his big shot in WWE, because it’s been years too long waiting for this to finally happen.
After forging a path for himself, unique to himself, LA Knight is finally in WWE and grabbing any opportunity he can. For some reason, WWE keeps teasing fans with that first big win for LA Knight, but it is probably coming to send him to that next level.
What’s your take on LA Knight’s push in WWE? What will it take him to get to the next level in WWE? Sound off in the comments to let us know what you’re thinking!
