WWE’s Long-Term Plan For Angel Garza & Humberto Carrillo In NXT

WWE has a lot of plans in the pipeline, and NXT provides stars with a great platform to get things right before they go to the main roster. Sometimes, main roster Superstars have also used this opportunity to do what they can to refresh their own characters. That is the current plan for Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo.

Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo showed up in NXT, which was a big surprise. The two practically vanished from the WWE main roster before that.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter provided a nice update on Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo’s team. It was stated that their long-term goal is a babyface team, and they are using their grandfather to accomplish that.

Carrillo & Garza right now are in NXT but there is a long-term main roster idea for them as a babyface tag team. The idea using their grandfather (as opposed to Hector Garza, Angel’s father, who was actually the biggest star in the family) to establish them as authentic Mexican babyfaces with the idea their grandfather was a superstar.

Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo have a ton to offer the WWE Universe, but they need to connect with fans first. Perhaps, this grandfather storyline will help get them a connection that they need with the audience.

WWE has a lot of plans in the pipeline in NXT, because Shawn Michaels and crew are working overtime in that department. Only time will tell if Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo return to the main roster as huge Superstars, but at least they are trying.
