Mauro Ranallo was one of the highlights of WWE and NXT television thanks ot his incredible work as a commentator. He eventually had to leave the company after JBL allegedly bullied him and now it appears his next pro wrestling destination has been revealed.
It has been a few years since he left WWE and has been busy commentating in the world of MMA. According to Dave on the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Ranallo is currently having discussions with the new Japanese all women’s wrestling promotion based out of New York.
The promotion’s goal is to recreate the Joshi Japanese wrestling feel for a Western audience. It has already secured numerous top names including former WWE Women’s Champion Bull Nakano, Arisa Nakajima and Risa Sera to its roster.
Regarding the new women’s promotion featuring Japanese wrestlers, it’s debuting next month in New York but there is not a lot of info out, as we don’t have a place or location past that.
The only other thing we’ve heard is that there are talks going on for Mauro Ranallo to announce but the deal was not closed as of this week.
The debut show might be taking place in New York in September, but no date or venue has been confirmed as of yet. We’ll have to see whether Mauro Ranallo does return to pro wrestling later this year.
