WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan is one of the biggest and most influential names in the pro wrestling business and has accomplished a lot in the industry. However, Hogan has also been known for his eccentric remarks throughout his career. That said, it appears Hulk Hogan was blamed for stopping a wrestler’s union in pro wrestling.

A union in professional wrestling has been a controversial topic for many years. The likes of Andrew Yang even tried to get wrestlers to unionize. Hulk Hogan also squashed that idea years ago when Jesse Ventura tried to bring it up within WWE.

While speaking on GAW TV with SoCal Val, Madusa talked about professional wrestling lacking a union. She blamed Hulk Hogan for this massive loss to the industry.

“That little bit right there could help with paying bills, medicals,” Madusa said. “And when I see some of our older wrestlers that are talking about, ‘We could have something like this,’ and it sure in the hell would keep them out from doing all these signings every weekend … Why don’t we have something like that in wrestling?

(Ventura) did, and guess who stopped him?,” Madusa added. “Guess who turned him in? (Hogan). Yes. Shame on Hogan.”

WWE even blacklisted wrestlers for even mentioning a union. It seems that the subject has died down a bit following WWE’s big 3rd party contracts controversy, but it could come back someday.
