WWE Payback will take place Saturday, September 2 from PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh. The company wants to build the best event they can for those fans, and it appears that a triple threat match is on the way.
WWE has already teased a couple of matches for Payback already. That being said, they have not added any official matches to the card.
BWE tweeted out behind their private X account to say that WWE is planning a triple threat match for the Payback card. It was not noted which match they are considering this for.
WWE has a few interesting angles going on right now that triple threat rules might apply to. After all, they could always book a triple threat tag team match if they want to as well.
We will have to see what WWE books for Payback. With Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus’ next collision promised for a steel cage, that match could always land on the company’s September pay-per-view as well.
