LA Knight made a huge splash after his debut at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day on February 14th, 2021. He has been in the business for several years and has experienced a lot of ups and downs throughout his career. Now it appears an ex-WWE writer explained why his feud with Bray Wyatt failed

At the 2023 Royal Rumble, Bray Wyatt and LA Knight engaged in a much-awaited Pitch Black match in a darkened arena where only the ring was illuminated, amplifying the match’s electrifying atmosphere. Bray Wyatt elevated the eerie atmosphere by donning neon hues, adding an even more unusual feel to the match.

The two superstars engaged in a grueling showdown, but Wyatt emerged as the victor with a powerful Sister Abigail. Uncle Howdy also made an appearance, adding to the match. However, the match was widely panned for being a waste of time.

While speaking on The Masked Man Show with Kaz podcast, former WWE writer Brian Gewirtz talked about Bray Wyatt and LA Knight’s feud and explained why it failed. It ultimately came down to the fact that the audience didn’t know who their characters were back then.

“The LA Knight and Bray Wyatt, Mountain Dew on the Pole, or whatever match where Bray is a new character at that point, LA Knight was just Maxx Dupri like five seconds ago, we don’t know who these people are.”

Bray Wyatt is still living his life at home with JoJo Offerman and his children. His father Mike Rotunda also provided a health update on Wyatt. We’ll have to wait and see when Bray Wyatt will return to WWE television.
