Doudrop was known as Piper Niven on NXT UK before making her WWE main roster debut. Despite fan speculation, she was rebranded with a new name upon her main roster debut. She eventually got her name back but wasn’t featured much on WWE television. That changed after she returned on RAW this week and it appears Niven made history after the show.
As seen on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Chelsea Green was speaking with Adam Pearce and then got interrupted by Piper Niven, who claimed that she was the new champion.
That ended up becoming true as WWE has now officially recognized Piper Niven as one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Niven became the first woman to win the Women’s Tag Team Championship without competing for the title, thus making history in the process.
We will have to wait and see how WWE will book Chelsea Green and Piper Niven as the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, now that the company has already fixed their tag team title issue.
What’s your take on WWE’s booking for the Women’s Tag Team Titles? Do you think Piper Niven is a good choice as Chelsea Green’s partner? Let us know in the comments!
