CM Punk’s time in AEW continues, and so do the controversies around his name. The former AEW World Champion has beef with some people that he doesn’t want at Collision, and it seems that Tony Khan is going to cater to CM Punk’s desires.
Dolph Ziggler seems to have alluded to a behind-the-scenes incident involving his brother Ryan Nemeth and CM Punk at AEW. After all, the latest update is that CM Punk was upset over a handshake snub.
The reported confrontation between Ryan Nemeth and CM Punk took place during the June 21st Dynamite taping, sparked by Ryan’s earlier tweet dubbing Punk as the “literally the softest man alive” after Punk’s Collision return promo.
In a timely gesture, Dolph Ziggler embraced ‘hunk appreciation day,’ which is a nod to Ryan Nemeth’s moniker ‘Hollywood Hunk’, and shared a tweet that many interpret as a subtle dig at AEW’s CM Punk, or perhaps a timely show of support for his brother in light of recent developments.
I can’t stand that scumbag, hunk
but it is #HunkAppreciationDay
so I will abide & “be a hunk”
how are you celebrating ?#hunkappreciationday
There is reportedly a ticking time-bomb in AEW, thanks to CM Punk, as backstage tension are bound to erupt. With so many big events coming up for the company, backstage problems is the last thing they need right now.
Ryan Nemeth was told to go home after making his way to AEW Collision. CM Punk apparently had big words that were quite aggressive with him backstage.
