Rey Mysterio Put On Blast For Stealing Santos Escobar’s WWE United States Title Opportunity

Rey Mysterio won the United States Title from Austin Theory on SmackDown, and that was quite a surprise for fans. After all, Mr. 6-1-9 wasn’t even in the match. Grayson Waller wasn’t in that match either, but he had something to say about it.

Santos Escobar actually beat Rey Mysterio in that United States Title Tournament. Then things took a turn before the actual United States Title match against Austin Theory on SmackDown. In the end, Escobar was not able to compete, and Mysterio stepped up to win the title for the LWO.

Grayson Waller chimed in on social media to stir the pot a bit. The Grayson Waller Effect host was quick to point out how Rey Mysterio stole Santos Escobar’s United States Title opportunity from him.

They must be so proud of Rey stealing Santos’ opportunity and championship.

SmackDown this week they revealed that they will hold another Grayson Waller Affect segment next week as well. The former NXT stand out will have a very interesting guest in Rey Mysterio. It seems we know the angle that Waller will take with that segment.

Santos Escobar was there to celebrate with the LWO when Rey Mysterio won the title from Austin Theory. Only time will tell how this situation pans out, but Austin Theory is now an afterthought.
