Mexico’s El Hijo del Vikingo has become one of the most talked-about names in pro wrestling recently. This is largely due to his incredible match against Kenny Omega on a previous episode of AEW Dynamite. However, it appears he legitimately passed out after his TripleMania XXXI match.

El Hijo del Vikingo successfully defended his AAA Mega Championship in a four-way bout against “Speedball” Mike Bailey, Daga, and Jack Cartwheel at the TripleMania XXXI event.

After the match, videos of Vikingo being taken out on a stretcher made their way online. According to PWInsider, Vikingo was legitimately not feeling well going into the match, adding that he legitimately passed out after the match as well.

Thankfully, it was further reported that Vikingo is fine and will not be missing any upcoming dates. The likely cause of his passing out was dehydration.

A few readers have asked about the condition of Hijo del Vikingo after video was posted on social media of him apparently passing out after his match at Lucha Libre AAA’s Triplemania XXXI: Mexico City last night.

We’ve been asked if the passing out and stretcher job was some sort of sell job or work. That is possible obviously but no one we’ve spoken to has stated that it was.

Vikingo was legitimately not feeling well going into the match last night.

This was certainly a distressing moment for fans who worried for El Hijo Del Vikingo’s well-being. Nonetheless, we will have to wait and see when he will return to AEW television and enthral fans once again.
