Eric Bischoff Had No Idea He Would Be Kissing Linda McMahon When He Arrived At Vince McMahon’s Home

Linda McMahon was a part of many memorable WWE angles throughout her time with the company. One of those stories found her locking lips with Eric Bischoff, something that Vince McMahon despised at the time. Now, Easy E is able to speak candidly about the angle.

2003 was a much different time for WWE, and SummerSlam’s build saw Eric Bischoff and Linda McMahon have an intimate encounter on screen. This is still talked about with some fans, especially if they’re ranking “top awkward kisses in WWE.”

During the most recent episode of the 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff and Conrad Thompson dove into the lead-up to WWE SummerSlam 2003. This discussion encompassed a range of events, such as Bischoff’s memorable kiss with Linda McMahon.

“I’m pretty sure it was Bruce (Prichard) is the one that, and I think he told me over the phone because I had to fly to Connecticut to do it. Obviously, it was in Vince and Linda’s home. It wasn’t a fake office. It was Linda’s office in their home. I remember when Bruce told me, he didn’t give me the details, but he said, ‘We need you to come to Stamford. We’re going to shoot a scene with you. It’s going to be at Vince’s house.’

That’s all I knew going into the scene. Vince is running around. He had these two big dogs, I think two of them, maybe one, but it was huge dogs, and Vince was cooking eggs in his kitchen and I showed up, and it was surreal. It wasn’t until I got there that I found out exactly what I was going to be doing, and I thought, ‘Oh, well, this is different, but let’s give it a shot.’ It was awkward, for sure.”

Many moments in WWE history are remembered for different reasons. There are certainly a few reasons why fans have not forgotten that angle with Eric Bischoff and Linda McMahon, either. In case you need a refresher, you can check out the video below.

Linda McMahon and Vince McMahon reportedly live separately now, but they are still married. After all, Vince McMahon was spotted with a much younger woman on his arm when he was out with John Cena and his wife at dinner during his retirement. Linda McMahon is now very much involved in politics, but only time will tell if she ever circles back around to WWE.
