Rey Mysterio is a true veteran in the world of professional wrestling, and his influence in the industry is undeniable. He has also suffered numerous injuries throughout his career but persevered. He won the United States title on Smackdown this week and it appears he joined Bret Hart in an elite group after this feat.

Santos Escobar was supposed to face Austin Theory for the United States Title this week on Friday Night Smackdown. However, that did not happen as he suffered an injury of sorts and was replaced by Rey Mysterio.
