Fans Confused Over Botched Wade Barrett Character In WWE 2K23

WWE fans found themselves in a state of confusion following the recent unveiling of content for the upcoming WWE 2K23 video game. They pay very close attention to details, and nothing gets by them either.

WWE 2K23’s new update is out this week, and the game’s DLC pack, named the ‘Bad News U’ pack, will to feature Andre Chase, Damon Kemp, Eve Torres, Nathan Frazer, and Wade Barrett.

Wade Barrett’s inclusion generated substantial anticipation among fans, as they eagerly awaited which iteration of the former Nexus leader would be featured in the DLC. However, fans were a bit confused about Barrett’s presentation in the new game.

In the new game, Wade Barrett dons his 2010 wrestling attire sans beard, a nod to his stint on the game show NXT. Curiously, the entrance animation and theme song correspond to his 2014 persona as Bad News Barrett.

To add to the intrigue, the titantrons used for Barrett in the game stem from his return from injury in 2012, marking yet another distinct phase of his illustrious career. These were things that eagle-eyed WWE fans noticed in a big way.

They either wanted the Bad New Barrett character, or not. A lift where he could be presented on a big stage where they lower him down was not even required. Still, they messed up the video presentations for this character.
