Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville won the Women’s Tag Team Titles on July 17, after defeating Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan. Deville got injured after that and now it appears WWE has plans for the titles.

Sonya Deville suffered an ACL tear after injuring herself on the July 28th episode of SmackDown. Due to this, the future of the championships is uncertain right now in a big way.

According to Dave Meltzer in the current Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE might have plans to run a tournament for the titles, despite the fact Chelsea Green recently made it clear she will be holding a ‘Chelsea’s Got Talent’ audition for new tag team partner after Sonya Deville got injured.

Sonya Deville also released a video statement regarding her injury and made it clear the timing is bitter. Regardless, we wish Deville a speedy recovery and hope she returns as soon as possible in order to do what she loves the most.
