Thunder Rosa is considered one of the best female in-ring competitors in the world right now. However, she is facing a debilitating back injury and still remains out of action even now. While Rosa is still unable to compete, it appears she will have a mini match of sorts as part of her recovery.
Thunder Rosa’s back injury left her no choice but to withdraw from AEW All Out last year. Despite her absence, she maintained her status as the AEW Women’s Champion but eventually had to forfeit the title – with Jamie Hayter being recognized as the only AEW Women’s Champion at the time.
The former AEW Women’s Champion has been working hard rehabbing her injuries and clearly, she is feeling much better now. While Rosa is certainly feeling better, fans are concerned that she might not be ready for an in-ring return anytime soon.
During the latest episode of her weekly vlog on YouTube, AEW physician Doc Sampson revealed that Rosa is recovering well. The discussion between the two took place during last week’s AEW Collision, and Sampson said that Rosa will be in the ring during the next taping of AEW Collision.
Sampson added that Rosa will be part of a 5-minute ‘mini match’ but gave no hint whether this match will be taped. Sampson added that Rosa has been doing “everything as expected.”
Thunder Rosa is working hard in order to make her in-ring return. It remains to be seen when Rosa will be healthy enough to make a proper return to the squared circle, as fans miss her dearly.
