Edge Returns During WWE SmackDown This Week

WWE has a lot of plans for their future, and Edge has been absent from the ring for far too long. That being said, the company had a big surprise for fans this week.

We previously reported that WWE is planning for Edge’s return. They revealed during SmackDown that he will be on hand in Toronto next week for his 25th anniversary celebration.

During SmackDown this week, Edge’s music broke out to surprise everyone in Calgary. He made his way to the ring as the deafening road of the WWE Universe gave him a tremendous pop.

Edge is already confirmed for Toronto next week, where he will celebrate 25 years in WWE. It seems like he was ready for action as he made his way to the ring.

WWE gave Edge his full pyro welcome during his entrance as well. This could be the start of another run for the Rated R Superstar. Edge worked the crowd a bit before revealing his excuse for being in Calgary this week.

Edge said that he wants a match next week in Toronto next week. He wants to take on Sheamus, because the two have a lot of personal history with each other. After all, Sheamus is a huge reason why Edge made his return to the ring in the first place. They have never faced each other in the past, but that will change next week.
