WWE Hall Of Famer D-Von Dudley is a veteran in the world of pro wrestling and has competed in several promotions during his career. He has especially made a name for himself in WWE. That said, it appears he almost passed away after suffering a stroke in 2020.
WWE is known to use numerous legends for on-screen appearances or other ways after they have long since retired from the squared circle. WWE hired D-Von as a backstage producer after his Hall Of Fame induction back in 2016.
Prior to that, D-Von’s last wrestling match took place at SummerSlam 2016, where he teamed up with Bubby Ray Dudley and lost to Sami Zayn and Adrian Neville.
D-Von Dudley also previously revealed that he suffered a stroke back in 2020. While speaking on Busted Open Radio, D-Von Dudley talked about his stroke and revealed that he almost died because of it.
“It’s been almost 10 years since I’ve been in the ring. It’s like riding a bike. I’ve had some health issues and I think that’s one of the biggest things for me. Because I had the stroke in 2020 and I almost didn’t make it. I wouldn’t be here right now if it wasn’t for my wife, who I love dearly and who really saw that I was having a stroke. The stroke is a silent killer.”
D-Von is set to reunite with Bully Ray on the 1000th episode of Impact Wrestling on September 9. We will have to wait and see what they will do during their appearance on the show.
