During the recent taping of the upcoming Friday’s AEW Rampage episode, held at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, OH following Wednesday night’s Dynamite event, an injured star made an impactful return to the show.

The episode was set to feature several anticipated matches, including AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy facing Johnny TV, a showdown between Darby Allin and Brian Cage, and a contest between Saraya and Skye Blue.

The bout between Saraya and Blue carried a high-stakes stipulation: the winner would be added to the Women’s Championship match at the upcoming All In event. However, after the conclusion of the match, the situation escalated when Toni Storm and Ruby Soho attacked Blue. The ambush was eventually thwarted when Madison Rayne made her surprise return and intervened.

Rayne, a familiar face to wrestling fans due to her successful tenure as a former Knockouts Champion in Impact Wrestling, has been making her presence known in the AEW roster since signing with the company last year, taking on a role as both a coach and a wrestler.

While she had been primarily associated with the ROH brand, a foot injury in April led to her temporary hiatus from the ring. Her return marks a significant moment for both Rayne and AEW as she reenters the wrestling scene, ready to make her impact felt once again.
