The Way comprised Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, Indi Hartwell, Austin Theory and Dexter Lumis and they had a solid run in NXT a couple of years ago. After repeated teases for a long time, they finally had a reunion over three months ago but rarely appeared after that. This is especially true for Lumis, who remains absent from WWE television. Now it appears he is set to appear on a TV series during his WWE hiatus.
Dexter Lumis was one of the Superstars that Triple H brought back to television after he took over as Chief Content Officer. He had a brief feud with The Miz but nothing much after that.
Dexter’s last appearance on RAW was on May 15, 2023, as part of the Battle Royal. Lumis’ last televised match took place on May 29 on WWE Main Event Show, where he defeated Akira Towawa and has been absent ever since.
The WWE Superstar took to his Instagram and officially announced that he would be appearing on TruTv’s Tacoma FD, an American sitcom, on August 10.
“Catch this episode of @tacomafdtrutv on @trutv Thursday, Aug. 10th! Watch it again after it airs on truTV.com or the truTV app.”
Dexter Lumis is still being paid by WWE during his hiatus and there’s no telling when he will make his WWE television return. We’ll have to see when he will be able to make his comeback.
