Roman Reigns ushered in his own era of The Bloodline and has continued to rule over WWE since then. He also faced off against Jey Uso at WWE SummerSlam last week and it appears WWE made a major change to the match.
During the Trial Combat match at the WWE SummerSlam Premium Live Event, Jey Uso was very close to finally beating Roman Reigns before Jimmy Uso interfered in the match and betrayed Jey Uso – costing him the match and completely shocking fans.
Both Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso ended up attacking Jey Uso in the match, which many fans found bizarre. After the event, a screenshot made the rounds on social media, which provided WWE’s rules for the Trial Combat match.
It specifically stated that no one can interfere during the match between Roman Reigns and Jey Uso unless the match concludes. Therefore, it is evident WWE ended up making a major change to the match without announcing it.
“It’s Tribal Combat where anything goes and but no one can interfere until Jey and Roman’s match is over! No disqualification, no count-out. The only way to win is by pinfall or submission.”
WWE also never considered Jey Uso defeating Roman Reigns at the SummerSlam Premium Live Event. Regardless, we will have to wait and see whether WWE will have an explanation for this major change.
