LA Knight made a significant impression after his debut at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day on February 14th, 2021. While Knight is one of the most over WWE Superstars right now, it appears Tony Khan was urged to learn from Knight’s booking.
The former NXT Superstar has organically gotten over with fans due to his ability to connect with the audience, which is mostly because of his remarkable work on the microphone.
During the SummerSlam Premium Live Event, LA Knight took part in the Slim Jim Battle Royal. Knight managed to overcome all the odds and win the match, outlasting every other competitor.
While speaking on 83 Weeks, WWE Hall Of Famer Eric Bischoff talked about LA Knight’s huge win and then made it clear Tony Khan should learn from Knight’s booking.
“Where does it go from there? Downhill, that’s where he goes from there,” said Bischoff about what would happen if Knight won the world title. “Let him grow into that role, much like what they’re doing with Cody. They’re forcing the audience to demand it, that’s why it’s called, ‘getting someone over,’ you morons!”
I mean that’s internet booking, that’s why internet booking doesn’t work,” Bischoff chided, “because you’re reacting to what the internet wants and what the internet says. Tony Khan, are you listening? That’s why you don’t listen to the internet and you go with what works. You discipline yourself, and you have a plan, and you stick with that plan.”
We will have to wait and see how WWE will book LA Knight in the coming weeks, as fans feel he is finally on the receiving end of a push and on the cusp of greatness.
