Sonya Deville’s momentum was halted in a big way when she experienced an ACL tear. Now, there is no way of knowing how long she will be out of the ring.
As we previously reported, there is a ton of sympathy backstage in WWE over Sonya Deville’s injury. She was on a roll, and 1/2 of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, but now it seems those plans will have to wait.
Sonya Deville dropped a video message for fans, where she thanked them for their support. She is set to have a surgery tomorrow, but it seems that she is in the best spirits possible.
Deville called her WWE Women’s Tag Team Title situation “bitter,” because they only held the titles for about twenty days now. Obviously, this is not how she wanted her reign to end at all.
No injury comes at a good time, but this is especially true when a champion is involved. Sonya Deville said her life has been a journey so far, and this is just another step in that trek. It seems that she has a good head on her shoulders and isn’t overly upset, although she’s probably hiding a lot of that disappointment in a big way.
We’re hoping for the best, because Sonya Deville could have a lot more to accomplish in WWE. For more on this story, and many more, please keep it tuned with us here at Ringside News. As always, leave your comments in the space below to let us know what you’re thinking!
