Ronda Rousey returned during the 2022 Royal Rumble event after a nearly three-year absence from WWE. While Rousey won the Smackdown Women’s Championship twice since her return, she failed to get any desired reactions from the fans. Now it appears her WWE run is done for now after SummerSlam.

During the Money In The Bank Premium Live Event, Shayna Baszler attacked Ronda Rousey in the final moments of the match, leading to Raquel and Morgan capitalising to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles back.

They finally squared off against each other at the WWE SummerSlam Premium Live Event in an MMA Rules match. Baslzer would win the match after she put Ronda Rousey in the sleeper hold, making Rousey tap out.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Daily Update, it was reported that Ronda Rousey’s SummerSlam match “was her farewell at least for now”.

Rousey is not expected back in WWE in for the foreseeable future. We will have to wait and see when she will return to WWE television, as it still might be a while before that can happen.
