Moose decided to stick around Impact Wrestling, and he will be there for years to come. That big contract will come with a lot of opportunities, but there was also a chance that things could have gone another way.

Moose has been with Impact Wrestling for years, and he obviously likes it there. That being said, he also readily admitted that he doesn’t like making new friends.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that Moose’s contract was set to expire on June 30th. That being said, there was possible interest in the big man from WWE, but obviously that did not materialize.

Moose’s contract was set to expire with IMPACT Wrestling June 30. At that time, he’d have became an unrestricted free agent for the first time since 2016. However, he announced that he’d re-signed, which will put him with IMPACT for over ten years when all is said and done.

As mentioned in our previous reports, Moose re-signed with IMPACT Wrestling amid interest from other wrestling companies just a couple of years ago. At the time, IMPACT wanted to lock him down before he could officially get offers from outside the company, and he was signed to a relatively lucrative deal, though WWE’s Canyon Ceman had reached out to Moose to express interest. Much like 2021, IMPACT Wrestling made re-signing Moose a priority and wanted to get him signed before he hit free agency.

We were told that there were some in WWE who’d indicated interest to some degree. WWE have been in contact with free agents this year, but have no official main roster signings as of well.

The report noted that no “specific length on Moose’s deal,” was given, “but we’re told that it legitimately was the longest in IMPACT Wrestling history, dating back to the start of the company over 21 years ago. They’ll have Moose signed well into his mid 40s.”

We’ll have to see what’s next for Moose in the pro wrestling world. He has a ton of potential, but he is obviously going to keep flying Impact Wrestling’s flag for even longer.
